Who We Are

We are me. Darin Volpe.

What Personal Data I Collect On Purpose

I only collect names, email addresses, and any other information you voluntarily send me via email or online form.  I do not collect or store any transaction information including names and addresses provided through my store, credit cards, or any other data.

What My Web Software Collects

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site the system records the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent to help spam detection.

Registration

For users that register on my website (if any), the software also stores the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Cookies

If you leave a comment you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, the system will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, the site will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Google Analytics

I use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. I use the information I get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. I do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to this site by disabling cookies on your browser.

I change website software often, so send me a comment if you need the most current information on the software I’m currently using so you get the latest privacy policies.

What My Online Store Collects

I use Fine Art America for my printing and distribution. They are the world’s largest art site and produce thousands of prints per day from fulfillment centers in the United States, Canada, the UK, Europe, or Australia. All transactions are processed thorough Fine Art America (FAA). You can find their privacy policy here.

How long I retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.
